Krishnamurti (the Indian spiritual teacher) asks us to examine how we listen. He invites us to quieten our prejudices, inclinations and projections and experience the joy and peace that can follow.
In connecting with that silence we have the opportunity to connect with our shared meanings and unfolding potential.
Listening is a radiant activity and a deeply mindful practice. The quality of the dialogues we have with others and ourselves is enhanced through our listening.
In this workshop we will explore the ‘Art of Listening’ through both musical sound and dialogue.

Time together exploring, from a source of listening, the interconnected elements of sound/music, garden and chatting, in our garden in Dorset, on the nearby hill-fort of Bulbarrow and with 'studio' time in the local village hall.
Practice starts from the idea of ‘from the garden back to the garden’ as an approach to creativity in art and as an attitude of life.

Franca and I share an interest in Indian music, sound and movement. Our workshops are a meeting point for all those interested in sound and movement as development of consciousness and connection to the infinite source.
The theme, explored through sound, movement and with the stimulus of sharing our dreams, reveals the world of connections: the subtle threads amongst ourselves, the links to our cultural roots, to the roots of our common humanity, to the environment we live in, all expressions of connections to the infinite source.
Franca brings into the seminar "Social Dreaming", a method for accessing the thinking, thought and knowledge embedded in dreams. Social Dreaming focuses on what is shared among the participants' dreams. This takes place in a Matrix which mirrors in conscious, waking life the unconscious world of dream-work while sleeping. The dream, not the dreamer, is the focus of the work of Social Dreaming. Through the many free associations and amplifications to the dreams, the Matrix releases the potential of infinite possibilities of meaning.
I facilitate singing and sounding and the opening of what I call the 'hearing space'. There is a focus of a simple devotional song to help awaken each person's intuitive musical being and understanding of Nadabrahma, 'creating in sound'. In this, the song and not the singer is the focus.
